Over one million cases of the new coronavirus have been recorded in Africa, with officials saying the real figures are much higher. Nevertheless, countries are continuing the slow return to normality, doing their best to resume flights and lessons for students. Elsewhere Ivory Coast’s president Alassane Ouattara and Guinean leader Alpha Conde both look set to run for third terms in October elections.
